The chemical structure of the O-specific polysaccharide of Citrobacter 036 lipopolysaccharide has been established by methylation analysis using gas-liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry. This polysaccharide is a linear homopolymer composed of (β1-2)-linked 4-deoxy-d-arahinohexopyranosyl residues.
