The K16-antigen from E. coli Rk 21510 (O7:K16:H-) is shown to consist of the repeating unit →2)-β-D-Ribf-(1→3)-β-D-Ribf-(1→5)-α-Kdop-(2→ of which approximately 33% is O-acetylated at position 3 of the 2-linked ribose.
