Two new terpenoidal saponins, indicoside A [1] and indicoside B [2], were isolated from Mangifera indica. Their structures were determined as 28-hydroxylupa-12,20(29)-diene-3-O-[β-glucopyranosyl-(1→2)] [-β-glucopyranosyl-(1→3)]-α-L-arabinopyranoside [1] and 28-hydroxylupa-12,20(29)-diene-3-O-[β-glucopyranosyl-(1→3)-α-L-rhamnopyranosyl-(1→2)][β-glucopyranosyl(1→3)]-α-L-arabinopyranoside [2] on the basis of chemical and spectroscopic studies.
