Three novel 3-epi-oleanene type triterpene oligo-glycosyl esters, spinosides D1–D3, were isolated from the leaves of Acanthopanax spinosus. The structures were established to be 28-O-α-l-rhamnopyranosyl(1→4)-β-d-glucopyranosyl(1→6)-β-d-glucopyranosyl esters of 3-epi-serratagenic acid, 3α-hydroxy-23-oxoolean-12-ene-28,29-dioic acid and 3α,23-dihydroxy-olean-12-ene-28,29-dioic acid.
