The new 5-methyl-4-hydroxy-3(2H)-furanone glucoside (psydrin) and the new 5-O-E-caffeoyl-b-D-apio-D-furanosyl-(1→6)b-D-glucopyranosyl (benzoic acid ester (psydroside) were isolated from the leaves of Psydrax livida. The new 2-(2-hydroxy)-ethanol-β-d-glucopyranoside was found in the leaves of Oxyanthus speciosus subsp. gerrardii and geniposidic acid in the leaves of Canthium gilfillanii. All species belong to the Rubiaceae.
