  Depressoside A and B, two new cycloartane triterpene glucosides were isolated from Corchorus depressus. The structures of depressoside A and B were elucidated as 9,19-cyclolanosta-22(R),25-epoxy-3 beta,16 beta,24(S)-triol-3-O-beta-D-glucopyranoside and 9,19-cyclolanosta-22(R),25-epoxy-24(S)-acetoxy-3 beta,16 beta-diol-3-O-beta-D-glucopyranoside respectively on the basis of 1D and 2D spectroscopic studies and chemical analysis.
