Two flavonol glycosides have been isolated and characterised from leaves of Syzygium samarangense. One is the rare mearnsitrin (1) while the second, 2'-C-methyl-5'-O-galloylmyricetin-3-O-α-L-rhamnopyranoside (2), is new. Detailed spectral data are provided for both.
